Another outstanding season is coming to an end for Ethiopia's Kenenisa Bekele, who won a unique world championship 5000m/10000m double and a share of the IAAF Golden League jackpot. In his own words, he thanks five people who have helped him make it possible.

1. My wife, Danawit Gebregziabher: "My wife has helped me a lot in my career. She gives me psychological and morale support. Sometimes you need to be told that you are the best in the world and that no one will beat you. She has been there for me and given me the support when I have been down."

2. My manager, Jos Hermens- "Jos was an athlete before and he runs with me whenever I run. He manages all my races, travel, hotels, everything. He also cares a lot for his athletes and is a great person."

3. My brother, Tariku Bekele- "I am a bit upset this year because Tariku is not by my side and running with me. I would have loved him to be here. But he has really assisted me this season. He needed to rest, but he finds the energy to drive me to training and back home because he cares and does not want me to drive at all and concentrate only on my preparation. I am really grateful for his support.

4. My father-in-law, Gebregziabher- "Thanks to the father of my wife, I dont need to worry about my construction projects or my work. He has been responsible for the running of many of my projects and helped me to concentrate on my training. He is an attorney and also assists me with legal matters."

5. My physio, Tekeda- "Tekeda is not just my physio, but he really helps me out with everything. He runs many errands for me and helps me with many things."
